The Original Holloway Friendly Society Limited was founded in 1880 by the MP for Stroud, George Holloway, and was the first to offer disability insurance in the UK. He was a great social reformer and the Society had no trouble in enlisting new members as the contract intended to replace lost earnings arising from illness or injury whilst at the same time building up a cash sum at the chosen retirement age.

As a mutual Society we have no outside shareholders, we exist solely for the benefit of our members. The Society's membership has expanded to cover the whole of the UK, and we are proud of our reputation for service and reliability.

We are specialist providers of Income Protection Insurance, providing a choice of two contracts that offer affordable cover.
