In 2018 income protection mutual Holloway Friendly paid 98% of claims, a 2% increase on the previous year. These incredible figure shows the society’s commitment to their Members of ‘Keeping life colourful’.
In Q2 2018 they actually paid 100% of claims.
“We always look for ways to pay claims and this is shown in our claims figures. Our claims team have outdone themselves and constantly review the way income protection claims are assessed to break down barriers of traditional claim assessment and enable decisions to be reached in just hours, instead of weeks” said Suzy Esson, Head of Operations. “This means our Members receive payments without hassle and can focus on getting better, without the burden of financial worry.”
Improvements to processes over the last couple of years have all contributed to achieving this outstanding claims figure, such as the removal of traditional claim forms and the implementation of e-signatures to support prompt claim payment.
Stuart Tragheim, CEO of Holloway Friendly, said that they were determined to better their service at the end of 2017 and they have achieved this. He commented on this year’s figures:
